Details

We would like a new website for our organization. The website should be built on Wordpress but we are also willing to work towards seeing if there is a better suited platform for our website.

We would like to work with students to develop a new website for us. At SCERDO we are a local registered non-profit working in the community doing refugee resettlement, newcomer integration and youth empowerment. We would like our website to reflect our accomplishments, programs we are currently running as well as contact information and option for bookings.

Students should be prepared to:

  • Create a design proposal including wireframes or low-fidelity mockups for our company's review.
  • Build a fully-functioning website, with our assistance in providing content and copy
  • Provide training on updating and maintaining the site as well as how to deal with commonplace bugs
  • Work closely with our organization to create a final website design/look
Deliverables
No deliverables exist for this project.
Mentorship

We do not have technical skills or advanced IT knowledge to assist the students with. We do desire however, to work closely and on schedule with the students to best determine our web needs and bringing our website to life.

We are more than willing to provide all content needed and are eager to learn from students about website upkeep and maintenance, particularly after the project is complete.
