The Chiu School of Business Co-operative Education program benefits the Calgary business community. Our learners can help your staff at peak periods or during leaves of absence, and provide fresh insight into an organization. Students are available for a 4-month co-op work term (virtual or in-person) beginning in January 2022.

The Insurance and Risk Management major focuses on a structured approach to managing uncertainty due to threats that may emerge from the environment, technology, humans, organizations, or politics. Graduates gain the knowledge and skills to reduce these defined risks and to manage the uncertainty to an acceptable level. Students who elect to write the Insurance Institute of Canada’s final examination can receive recognition for up to 7 of the 10 courses required for the CIP designation. Students can also attain the Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation.
