Kathy Archer is seeking to expand the reach of her upcoming publication, "Character Driven Leadership for Women: A 5-Step Guide to Shape Your Nonprofit Management Style with Strong Values, Ethics and Morals."


The project will be to develop a comprehensive business and marketing plan to

  • promote the upcoming book
  • promote the course attached to/promoted in the book.


This plan will focus on virtual strategies, encouraging innovative and creative approaches to virtual book promotion.


Kathy will not be doing any in-person events.


The plan must include identifying

  • podcast opportunities
  • crafting a promotional summary for podcast outreach
  • proposing virtual events and potential partners
  • brainstorming other creative and unconventional marketing ideas to maximize the book's reach and engagement


The goal of this project is to create a comprehensive virtual business plan that effectively promotes the book to a wide audience worldwide, particularly in Canada, the USA, Europe and Australia.


The project will research current market trends in virtual book promotions, identify key target audiences in the nonprofit sector and develop innovative strategies to engage potential readers.


Learners will apply their knowledge of marketing principles and digital tools to craft a plan that includes social media campaigns, virtual events, and partnerships with relevant organizations. The ultimate aim is to increase the book's visibility and sales while reinforcing Silver River Coaching's brand as a leader in nonprofit leadership development.

Deliverables

The project will result in a detailed business plan that outlines strategies for promoting the book virtually. Key deliverables include:


The plan will include

  • A market analysis report identifying target audiences and competitors.
  •  A list of relevant podcasts for potential guest appearances, with brief descriptions of each.  
  • A podcast promotional summary tailored for outreach to podcast hosts
  • A sample outreach template for contacting podcast hosts, virtual event partners, or influencers
  • A podcast media kit
  • A plan for user-generated content, offering strategies to encourage readers to share testimonials or personal stories related to the book on social media.  
  • Suggestions for virtual events and potential partners with developed outline
  • Suggestions of other creative and unconventional marketing ideas to maximize the book's reach and engagement and plans for how to do them.
  • A comprehensive marketing strategy with specific tactics for social media, email campaigns, guesting on podcasts and virtual events.
  • A timeline and budget for the implementation of the promotional plan, and podcast plan
  • A set of metrics to evaluate the success of the promotional activities.
