Details

The Human Resources Certificate is an 8-month program designed to prepare students for a wide range of responsibilities directly related to the function of Human Resources. In addition to the employment cycle and business training, students receive specific training in human resource management, recruitment, selection, compensation and benefits, learning and development, change management, occupational health and safety, labour relations and employment law. There is a strong emphasis on professionalism and communication skills. Students are available for a 4-week, full-time unpaid field placement at the conclusion of their program.

Deliverables

The focus of the Human Resources program is on aligning the workforce with the strategic direction of the organization. The program includes an introduction to the function of human resources, an in-depth learning on the complete employment cycle, and a foundation of business principles. Students can engage in experiential learning activities such as mentoring, case competitions, and project work.
